About UsWe Believe
All people are valued with rights, choices, and responsibilities. All people benefit from meaningful relationships. All people are empowered and strengthened by their experiences. All people make meaningful contributions and dream for the future. All people can be transformed by the dignity of work. Our Vision We exist to support people and relationships. We build strong communities where people are respected and valued as contributing citizens. We break down barriers that stand in the way of full community participation and inclusion. Our Mission Advancing community support and opportunities for people with disabilities. Our Guiding Values Listen, Support, Follow We actively listen to people with disabilities, family members, and communities as they articulate their hopes and dreams for the future. We support people as they plan for their life goals and follow them to achieve meaningful outcomes. Innovation and Accountability We use the most current technology and we embrace change. We have a passion for excellence and continually pursue quality. We provide our staff with information and education to be the best. We incorporate feedback from all our customers to evaluate and plan for the future. We develop aggressive goals and hold ourselves accountable for their accomplishment. Holistic Approach We recognize that all life areas are interconnected and we believe that it is ineffective to support only one aspect of a person’s life without considering all factors that have an impact on successful outcomes. We address what people want and what they need to achieve their hopes and dreams by incorporating a variety of areas: community, home, school, work, leisure and recreation, friendships, and circles of support. Systems Change We consider the most effective way to influence outcomes for a person is to focus on ways to change systems and build capacity beyond individual success. We look for ways to influence how services and supports can be reorganized to support inclusion, and how policies and procedures can be modified to enable self-determination. |
