Paid Internship (PIP)

Our services and supports are customizable and tailored to meet the needs, goals, and dreams of the individual.  We specialize in providing customized & tailored training and instruction to find meaningful employment.  Paid internship is a negotiated, time-limited experience for individuals exploring employment and is best used in conjunction with training services. A Specialist works closely with the person in their employment goals. When appropriate, Paid Internship is added to an individual’s goals as a complement to their training services.

Paid internship is a customized experience that we negotiate with an individual and an employer in an integrated and competitive environment. The internship is funded by the Department of Developmental Services for a specific amount of time. The opportunity allows for an individual to explore real work that may lead to permanent competitive employment.
